well well guess what just had a call from h/centre crp raised so check in a month then see gp !!! this is the same gp who told me to reduce pred because the pmr had gone and come back in august to review because I refused methotrexate , my sil started metho when I was offered it and is now on injections for nausea and vomiting !!!!it seems logical that if the crp is rising the pmr is still active so watch this space carolk

What a plonker... Hopefully he will live and learn.

NOTHING would persuade me to take any drug as a "steroid sparer" that made me feel so ill I needed another drug to make life worth living.

I am dying to hear why my crp is rising !!! considering according to him I do not have pmr , my poor sil is now going on AA because they think she has osteoporosis she already has pmr and ra  I must admit I expressed my opinion on that drug so not only will she be vomiting re methotrexate which has not helped one bit so far , she will feel like death warmed up !!! I will definately refuse metho if its mentioned in august ,I am hardly a good candidate when they are checking my kidney function once again re iffy bloods .carolk

Having watched Michael Moseley's guts programmes I don't think I ever want to take anything again. Must say the Thalidomide treatment for leprosy was impressive, though.

Liked his line that all poisons are potentially medicines and all medicines poison.
